What a fantastic read!! We could all learn a lot from Martha S for sure! Your advice at the end is spot on. For me, I’m definitely at a pivot point with so many possible directions. Sometimes it’s hard to see the wood for the trees. But standing in your power, being clear on your values and trusting that those around you will support you as you test, iterate and evolve is such great advice! Being bold too💪 Do you think the same advice you share applies to running a community?
Thank you Lara! Also, so good to be back in the comments section of a newsletter although I missed this until now! My approach is 1- know what you stand for and what you're about and then 2 - the business model /focus that comes with that can be experimented on, as there is rarely one right 'answer' but like you say a series of experiments.
I do think this applies to a community albeit takes more courage for an existing community leader to pivot as there is some kind of reputation already built, but, people want to follow true leaders, and you'll be better served in the long run showing that true and authentic version.. and attract more people who see the world like you too!
